Although we are unlikely to see the iPhone 14 smartphones before September, we are seeing lots of leaks and rumors in the interim. Now, we've learned that all iPhone 14 models may receive upgrades.
According to a report from analyst Jeff Pu obtained by
Macromeres, every edition of the iPhone 14 would include a 120Hz Promotion
display — a capability that is presently available only on the iPhone 13 Pro
and Pro Max models.
Promotion implies that refresh rates can be altered
dynamically in response to what is displayed on the screen at the time.
Additionally, the feature can aid in battery life management by lowering the
refresh rate when viewing static material.
Increase the RAM
According to the same research report, the two lowest
iPhone 14 models will use 6GB of RAM rather than the 4GB found on the iPhone 13
small and iPhone 13. There appears to be no change for the Pro models in this
area.
While the iPhone lineup is expected to change this
year, we may expect two more affordable versions and two more expensive Pro
models in the form of the iPhone 14, the larger iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14
Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Max is effectively the successor
of the iPhone 13 small.
That is, at the very least, the rumor. According to
previous leaks, Pu anticipates that the Pro and Pro Max models would receive an
improved rear camera module with a 48MP primary sensor. Additionally, these
versions may begin with 256GB of internal storage, up from 128GB.
What to anticipate from the iPhone 14 analysis?
Although the iPhone 13 launched in September 2021,
we've already learned a lot about what to expect from its successor - including
the change in the four variants that will go on sale, as discussed previously.
Recently, we've heard rumors that the iPhone 14 Pro
and iPhone 14 Pro Max would ditch the familiar display notch in favor of two
smaller cutouts – one circular and one pill-shaped – to house the selfie
camera, Face ID technology, and other components presently housed in the notch.
Continuing with the pricey models, word has it that
they may get even more costly this year. The iPhone 14 Pro is expected to start
at $1,099 in the United States (up from $999), while the iPhone 14 Pro Max is
expected to start at $1,199 in the United States (up from $1,099 for the iPhone
13 Pro Max).
There are still a lot of unanswered concerns around
the iPhone 14 Max, the new model that is rumored to arrive this year. At the
moment, it appears to be a larger-screen version of the iPhone 14.
